I would also like to see this. I prefer linux, but when downloading large files, I have to restart my computer, boot into windows, wait 15 minutes for that to happen, then go to webpage, and click download, so FDM will pick it up.
I imagine that if you were willing to share your code, that there are plenty of Linux programmers that would be willing to rewrite the code so it would be useable on whatever type Linux someone might be using, and it wouldn' t be any extra work for you.
I hope you port FDM to Linux, and hopefully you port it also to low performance MIPS (little ending) processors for embedded devices like NAS Servers. So I can install FDM on my NAS and access it through a web UI.
Yes, please develop a Linux FDM for Ubuntu. I have switch to Windows for downloading with FDM. FDM with WINE in Linux is not always working as expected.
